This is my favourite coffee shop next to my house! The girls that work here are lovely, I love the vibe and also the play area at the back for my baby. Coffee, Matcha and Hot chocolate are all amazing! I have tried them all 🤗

It’s a very quiet, cozy place. As I understand, it’s a small Barclays bank retail branch. It gets pretty busy in the morning. You can’t park directly in front of the café, but there is a parking lot in the backyard just a 1-minute walk away. The coffee was good, and although the sandwiches were a bit overcooked, they were still tasty. It took about 5–7 minutes for them to prepare our order. Overall, it’s a good place to spend 15–20 minutes and have a chat with a friend.

I've been coming here two years and this is probably the best coffee shop I've ever been in. Very lovely people. Amazing chill atmosphere. Always good energy. Consistent service. The ladies working here have an excellent work ethic, and attention to detail when it comes to the quality of their product, and are always dedicated to delivering great customer service. They've never changed staff and you know you're going to get a great coffee every time you come here. I consider Old Bank a great example of how a coffee shop should be run, and a pillar of East Barnet! Please support small businesses like this one. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Well done Old Bank Coffee Shop! You are the best 👏👏 Edit: I have added some recent photos to demonstrate the quality of their barista-ship. I believe it is a squirrel. One of the greatest lattes I've ever seen. The ducks are celebrating and the dog is also pleased as you can see. Perfectamundo! 🤩

Always welcoming and peaceful. Their coffee is the best around. And as a lovely bonus, they have a very talented artist who can draw anything on your coffee, it always makes my day!

A really fantastic coffee shop. The staff are friendly, the coffee is _great_ and they've partnered with Holtwhites bakery, meaning there are some excellent pastries every time I come in. The place itself is really well decorated, with a modern coffee-shop theme (think plants, coffee-related books and filament bulbs) and there is the vault at the back which has been converted into a kid's play area. The Old Bank is my favourite place to get coffee and is a fantastic spot to meet friends. After a couple of years, the standard is still super high, and I make sure to come back here whenever I'm in Barnet. Update Jan 2026 - still excellent! I still feel my above review is accurate, and I still stop by whenever I am in Barnet!
