I just want to give proper recognition to Micah at Move Altrincham for the excellent work he does. His passion for helping people improve their health and strength really stands out. You can tell he genuinely cares about making a difference. During sessions, he doesn’t just stand back and instruct — he works with you, supports you, and makes sure everyone feels involved and motivated. By the end of every Blast session, the whole group is fully engaged (especially when the card game comes out — everyone gets properly involved!). It creates such a positive and energetic atmosphere. Micah makes sure everyone is enjoying their time while still pushing us to improve. That balance isn’t easy, and he does it brilliantly. Recognition definitely needs to be given where it’s due. It’s honestly a shame they don’t offer one-to-one sessions, because that would 100% be my next step to get the very best out of myself. Highly recommend

The swimming pool itself is clean—5 stars for that. However, the rest of the facilities are extremely disappointing. The car park needs a refurb. Cleanliness throughout the center is unacceptable. There should be a cleaner present at all times. Are there any?! The changing cubicles are dirty, and the toilets are consistently disgusting, no matter what time of day you visit. There are no working hand dryers in the ladies' changing room, and there are no hand dryers in the swimming pool toilet area, which is basic hygiene and should not be an issue. I’m giving 3 stars overall mainly because the gym equipment is excellent, and the gym area is the cleanest part of the leisure center. Today, we were also asked to leave the gym at 5 p.m. due to a “CEO request.” Several members walked in and then immediately walked out, clearly frustrated. Situations like this should be communicated properly in advance. The layout of the facilities is also poorly designed. The way the Cove Spa is promoted feels like an upsell, yet it’s located so far from the swimming pool that you’d have to walk across the center wet to get there. It’s simply not practical. Overall, there are some good elements, but the lack of cleanliness, communication, and thoughtful layout seriously impact the experience.

Nice upgrade but feels far far more should have been done. Why not more of an arena for pool / galas. Poor court separation in the sports hall, and the back entrance shutter with the little divide is so annoying for any sports where the ball can go over easily, limited gym space. With the hours open and poor parking especially ice hockey match days it's overpriced and disappointingly feel better options are available in the area.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ AMAZING FACILITY - Lovely vibe & atmosphere I popped into Move Altrincham and wow – it’s honestly amazing, my gym ego went through the roof! It’s such a massive step up from what it used to be. The pool area is bright, clean, and just feels so much nicer to swim in. The gym’s packed with top-of-the-range Technogym kit – some of the best I’ve ever seen – and there’s plenty of space so you’re not queuing or feeling cramped. What really stood out for me though was how welcoming the staff are. They’ve clearly worked hard to make it family-friendly and community-focused. I was a bit unsure what to expect with all the changes, but I walked away genuinely impressed. I’m an avid spa & gym user, been to loads over the years, and this place honestly tops the lot. If you’ve not been yet, go check it out before making your mind up – I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised by just how much it’s improved.

Had one beer at a family birthday then drove to the gym, got kicked out of the gym for smelling of alcohol, legaly allowed to drive to the gym after one but not walk on a treadmill. Pathetic just canceled and joined total fitness around the corner plus at total fitness you dont have to book an hour in advance for the pool
