Coffee & Crepes (cafe and soft play)

Bit late visiting this place as it’s been there a while and lost count how many times I’ve said we need to try that place when we have driven past. Well today we did for a quick lunch and I really wish we hadn’t left it so long to try. You will not be disappointed. I had breakfast flat bread and hubby had halloumi flat bread ( I resisted the temptation to just go for the sweet options as they sounded amazing - will try next time as we definitely will be visiting again. The price is really reasonable considering how much you get on your plate. The food was delicious and the service was welcoming and friendly. We sat in a booth just off the main seating area which was really cute with low lights and a plant wall with fairy lights. You also have the option to play little games while your wait which I thought was a great touch (gets people off their phones). We had a quick game of Jenga and Plop (yes plop) Trumps. Great atmosphere, food and welcoming, friendly service. 10/10 well done everyone xx

What stands out most about Coffee and Crepes is just how nice and welcoming it feels. It’s cosy, relaxed, and much more personal than bigger chain cafes. The coffee is great, the food is always really good, and the layout works perfectly for families. The soft play area is one of the best parts because it’s not too big or chaotic, so the kids can play safely while parents can still relax nearby. You can tell a lot of care and effort goes into the place, and the staff always make people feel welcome. Places like this are really important for the local community, and Tamworth is lucky to have an independent family-run business like Coffee and Crepes.

Very hit and miss. Have gone in at times and they are well stocked, friendly and warm. Their bathroom upstairs is stocked with spare nappies and wipes which is a lovely touch if you’re caught short. Unfortunately we have also been in too many times where staff are cold and seem annoyed you are there and have nothing in. The soft play was a safety hazard the last time we went with a hole in the netting and the zip ties around one of the bars all snapped off. Food is very up and down also. Have had a lovely meal from there before but felt short-changed ordering a chicken tikka flatbread and receiving chopped up chicken nuggets. Also state they cater to allergies- which they have once but on return visit was told they would not make up a separate batch of egg free pancake mix as they’d made the batch for the day. The smell is also quite strong of old grease upstairs and can get quite smokey up there. Have also gone to visit many times for them to have closed early with no warning or mention on their socials leaving our children disappointed more than once. I’m all for supporting small businesses so have kept coming back again and again despite this but it seems to get worse each time. They’ve just brought out a new menu and longer opening hours which is promising and I wish them well but I won’t be returning to find out.

My son and I popped in today, for the first time. I love hot chocolate and have had many during my life, but today, this fantastic place surpassed my hot chocolate dreams. I had a Biscoff hot chocolate and it was the most delicious drink I've ever tasted. Along with this I had a breakfast wrap and OMG, it was so tasty. Sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms and hash brown. My son had halloumi flat bread and fries. He said it was delicious. He also had a banoffee milkshake and said it was lovely. The ladies were lovely and our order was delivered to our table, very quickly. I would recommend Coffee and Crepes 100%. We'll definitely be back. YUM!

There are only three choices at this location Morrisons. McDonald's or Coffee & Crepes. I opted for the latter as I prefer local cafes. Easy to find and clean inside. Plenty of seats, I chose to eat outside, the traffic noise wasn't that bad. Service was fairly quick and food was excellent A bit pricey but still what you get made it worth a few extra pennies
