5 pounds for nothing, few toys, most of them without batteries. The coffee shop is nice. They have good food, cakes and coffee and the staff is friendly.

Coming here for around 4 years and generally had a pleasant experience. However, today the service was unacceptable. Today we popped in and I stayed upstairs to order while my nephew and grandma headed downstairs to the play area. They were rudely stopped by a member of staff who instructed them to return to the till to pay first for the play area. This happened while I was waiting at the till to order and pay for everyone. So, while I was waiting to pay, the staff treated a 5 year old and a 70 year old like thieves. Not sure where this aggression came from as it was a rather slow day (there were less than 10 people in 2-3 tables upstairs and literally nobody downstairs). They recently starting charging for joining the play area and apparently they treat everybody as a potential fraudster. I do not mind paying for the play area, but when you charge you for it, you need to provide a decent child-friendly environment. The music was inappropriate for children, most tables in the play area were dirty even though the play area was completely empty, and I was served an espresso in a paper cup (even though cakes are obviously served in regular plates). It seems that management just got greedy and decided to start charging extra without improving or providing decent child-friendly service. The place was usually packed during school breaks but it seems that poor service has turned many people away. Such a pity. Also, WiFi doesn't work (kept getting "IP configuration failure).

Soft play is unclean and most of the toys are broken.
