DO NOT RECOMMEND! I am completely disgusted by the conduct of the management at this facility. The pool has been closed for over two months, yet they have refused to offer any meaningful compensation for the inconvenience or the loss of a core facility included in our memberships. I have been in discussions with them for weeks, often left in the dark for extended periods with minimal communication. Management has repeatedly refused to consider any financial compensation, citing the existence of other pools—despite two already being closed for refurbishment, and the closest alternative to Bromley town centre being a 39-minute bus ride away. I have raised this issue multiple times, to no avail. The manager even addressed me by the wrong name, demonstrating a clear lack of professionalism and regard for customers. Even when the pool is operational, it is extremely poorly maintained. Cleaning standards are unacceptable: I have frequently found plasters around the outside of the pool and floating in the water. Panty liners have been left stuck in changing cubicles. Ventilation units are caked in dust, and the floors are mopped with the same filthy mop that has clearly been in use for a considerable time. The gym is in a similarly unacceptable condition — with dirty machines, missing ceiling tiles, a strobing ceiling light, a leaking air conditioning unit, a gate broken for over three months, a non-functional water fountain, and no paper towels available on a regular basis. I have attached photographic evidence of these issues. Overall, the facility is run down, unsanitary, and poorly managed. This is compounded by the dismissive and unprofessional way my concerns have been handled. Taken together, these issues make it abundantly clear that there is no genuine commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, or properly functioning environment for members. I feel wholly misled and exploited by this experience and am appalled at the lack of accountability shown by management. Based on the conditions, communication failures, and disregard for members, I cannot recommend this facility to anyone.

I’ve been using the gym and pool facilities at The Pavilion for a while now, and I have to say — it’s an absolute gem, especially for the price. The gym is spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with everything from free weights to resistance machines and cardio equipment. The showers and changing facilities are always spotless, making post-workout refreshment super convenient. Special shout-out to the gym staff who are always friendly, supportive, and approachable. Whether you’re a regular or just getting started, they make you feel welcome and help you get the most out of your fitness journey. The pool is another huge highlight. Clean, well-maintained, and rarely overcrowded — it’s honestly a steal at this price point. Whether you’re doing laps or just looking to unwind, the atmosphere is always calm and enjoyable. Unfortunately, the experience at the bowling alley doesn’t match the standard of the rest of the facility. Booking a lane feels like you need to be a mind-reader or a magician, and the staff there could really use some basic training in customer service. We were rushed during our game — to the point where we weren’t even able to complete our turns properly, which was disappointing. If the bowling alley team could take a note from the gym and pool staff, The Pavilion would truly be a five-star facility across the board.

We have been coming to the flumes for years and always looked forward to them, so we booked a swim during half term expecting the same experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed to find that the flumes have been removed, as this was one of the main attractions and a key reason for us travelling here. It would have been helpful if this change had been clearly communicated in advance, as it significantly affected our visit. That said, the pool itself was warm and the wave machine was still working, which helped and was enjoyed.

What happened was that my niece was playing at the playground when a boy repeatedly hit her and pulled her hair, leaving her very upset and crying. When we tried to stop him, his parents caused a major scene, which was completely inappropriate, especially in front of the children. What was most disappointing was that nobody seemed to care, including the staff. We even considered calling the police, but the playground staff discouraged us from doing so, apparently to protect the playground’s reputation. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this playground. The lack of supervision, support, and concern for children’s safety was very disappointing.

We’ve been coming for the pool for years. It was great. Now they have dismantled & taken away the slides it’s ruined it. My kids loved the waterfall & that’s gone too. Presumably this was to save on costs of repair, just rip it out instead, but what will happen is they will lose customers and probably should have just replaced the slides. Not sure we’ll be back.
