The staff are nice but the changing room are atrocious. It’s hard to find another gym with changing room in such a dire state. Nearly all lockers either broken, constantly locked and disgustingly filthy. Smells of urine, i have seen a cleaner three times in a year. I genuinely can’t understand why its so hard to keep it clean. Members pay for fees, so surely part of it can be set aside for routine, daily cleaning?

Avoid this spa at beckenham leisure centre. It's basically ran by teenagers. It's filthy, diseased and just not safe. The swimming pool ladies shower facilities are full of teenage boys and there are some very inconsiderate, aggressive and ill-mannered mums allowing their teenage boys in there. When you report to staff, NOTHING IS DONE. There is a constant stench of sewage, feaces in the swimming locker area. I unfortunate went bare feet once and got 6 verrucas for the first time in my life. Absolutely DISGUSTING. The gym is grossly unhygienic. Very dusty, smells and there's no etiquette of members to pick up weights after themselves or clean up or not hug machines. The staff don't even speak to members to stop issues that are happening in front of them. The place is just terrible and unnecessarily costing. It's so badly run, unhygienic, unsafe especially female toilets and shower room. I have complained so many times about this and still no age restriction is put on the female shower doors.

See photo. Bins overflowing, other bin bag full of rubbish next to full bin for entirety of our stay (2 hours), gate to stop children escaping left wide open (15 mins) and 3 staff members with nobody to serve just sitting chatting. Probably just a weekend job for these young staff, the issue is clearly a management one in that they have no guidance in how to run something properly. Every light fitting, corner, exposed pipe or conduit absolutely caked in dust, like 5cm worth. Mediocrity at its finest.

Unpleasant and unprofessional environment. Most notable a tanning product staff member inadvertently overheard gossiping to bodybuilder in a vulgar way about her plans to get a male co-worker targeted via proxy for petty personal reasons. Later seen glaring at the witness while going home after-hours with a male manager and leaves their safety station to engage in similar activities. May suddenly also target witnesses for no other incident than being around their behaviour. May stare at you if you're a male gym user in poolside showers whilst misusing historic friendly conversation to suddenly build a similar gossip case against customer.

We visited the spa for the swimming pool. Staff really friendly and facilities reasonable, but it's really dirty. In the spectating area of the pool, there is thick dust on the frames of the seats and the changing rooms are disgusting. Never shower there.
