Forge Mill Farm

Goats! I love em, crazy little animals. So playful and always hungry. Definitely take the little kids, the bigg e animal lovers will enjoy themselves too. The whole farm is easy to get round and doesn't smell like poo! Really friendly staff, plenty of parking (don't park on the grass, you'll get ticketed).

It's a lovely little day out, nice and local to us we often pop for a few hours out, the soft play is a real highlight now along with the bunnies and llamas. It would be nice to have more foodie options in the week, its massively improved its somewhere I always love to go. I do think it is a little expensive now ( sign of the times I guess ) hence the 4 stars also the playground is no good for little ones but the soft play os lovely. If your stuck for something to do and the farm is close by to you then go its a lovely 2-3 hours out.

We visited Forge Mill Farm on August 31st and it was the perfect end-of-summer treat. This farm is much more than just a place to see animals, it's a comprehensive family destination. ​The variety of activities is fantastic. Kids loved visiting all the animals (so many rare breeds!) and taking the time to explore the beautiful sunflower farm. For the kids, the outdoor play area is fantastic and free, which is a brilliant bonus. We also utilised the new indoor soft play area (Natural Play Barn) when we get tired. ​The farm does a great job offering educational opportunities for kids and the café was a convenient spot for refreshments. ​A quick note to the community, I saw a few people hopping over the grass wall to enter without paying from the side roads. The entry fee is so reasonable, it's not thousands of pounds! Please support this wonderful local business by paying the small admission fee. Lovely little farm - my favourite is the Highland cows ❤️ Good price for entry and plenty to see and do. Treats available to feed them and parking available- payable but free after 3pm during winter. The lads that were looking after the animals yesterday made the experience as well. Good lads, helpful and friendly as well - thank you!

We've been visiting Forge Mill Farm for years as we're walking distance away. It used to be a small enterprise with a simple outdoor play area and opportunities to see some cute farm animals. Recently they've massively upped their game so it's even more worth a visit and such good value for money. We've done their lambing and sunflower events in the past and both were wonderful. Today we went to their pumpkin picking patches and they have done such a good job with the indoor and outdoor areas - so many photo opportunities! You can buy varied different squashes as well as the pumpkins but there's no obligation to and the pumpkin areas are included in the general entry. They've also opened a new cafe and indoor play area which is so impressive! We will continue to enjoy many more trips here as our little one grows up.
