Little play barn

Avoid. Absolute dive. If something is so cheap that the price must be too good to be true then believe it is. We went before 11AM on a weekday, one other person present so no excuse for the state it was in. Toilet was in a disgusting state and the whole role play was poor - filthy stained toys with missing parts, broken parts or a fire truck which is actually a broken bed frame? Not safe or pleasant for little ones. Left after 10 minutes as it really was dire, reported the mud and mess to the man serving in the kitchen who seemed surprised; which is strange as I don’t think that state was caused by the one other young child present only an hour after opening. So many better options nearby, highly recommend Little P’s in Walsall for similar but 100x better.

This place must be avoided at all cost. It should’ve been welcoming and prepared for kids to play instead it was absolutely freezing, after 40 mins we’ve left. It’s really dirty and dusty. The state of the toilet… bare in mind we came in first! Attached is a picture of how dangerous and unsafe it is… I genuinely hate writing reviews like this one but I’d never come back no matter how cheap it is…

I wasn't going to write a full review but seen as I have been asked why I left 2 stars i will... Upon approaching the outside, it looks worn the paint on the railings and the windmills broken. Inside a party was finishing up. They had all the seats in the whole cafe. We asked to use two seats and they reluctantly agreed but only because they heard us ask what time the party finished at. We asked after the party had finished. Only one staff member (male) running it on his own. Far too busy for him. We did not order a drink because we saw the male scratch his rear end underneath his trousers and then enter back into the kitchen. I don't think it registered with him that he had done this. The play area, the unit it is set it is far too small for the amount of people inside. We had to fight through a sea of adults to get in... People were friendly enough but it was far too crowded, making it somewhat stressful. The owners small child pushed my youngest off the JCB, but his older child apologised on her behalf. She should habe been supervised by and adult. While I appreciate a party was just ending it was absolute carnage in th play area. A complete mess. There was no one there actively putting toys away or cleaning tables. All tables were dirty the whole time we were there. There were quite a few broken toys in the play area too. I can see what they want the place too be but there is too little space to achieve it. While it was very cheap I would not return. My sister in law went to the Bluey breakfast the day after and said the same thing. Awful experience. Like I said I wasn't going to write a full review but have been asked why I have given 2 stars. I hope this answers the question.

Have visited here a few times with my little boy. The staff are always friendly. Was lovely to see the room busy today as most times we go there is limited people in there. The back room is cold and this is the only downfall. There is a small heater which people tend to sit on due to feeling cold. If the heating in the room could be sorted it would make a perfect atmosphere and people would spend longer.

Have been wanting to try this place since it opened. Took my 2 year old there who loved it, lovely range of toys and areas for him to play with. Lady was friendly and welcoming and the coffee was lovely. The only issue I had was the role play area at the back was absolutely freezing. It was around 30 minutes after opening so may not have had time to warm up but the small portable heater wasn’t doing much to warm up the area up and unlikely to throughout the day with the temperature being so low outside, it was so cold i could see my own breath in there. We left earlier than intended because of this however this was the only issue which is a shame- if it was warmer in the role play area (assuming this is only an issue during the winter months) we would have been happy to have stayed longer. Could also do with a nappy bin in the toilet as most children who will go there are of an age wearing nappies (there was only a female sanitary bin and very small normal bin presumably for tissues). Will happily return in the warmer weather if the heating issue isn’t resolved before then.
